  1. PCCR 7000 PSC Scanner will not work with some Thin Clients.
  2. We have a monitor that has native resolution of 1920x1200 - the XP thin client only seems to allow for a maximum of 1024x768.
  3. How do I determine what BIOS my thin client has installed?

PCCR 7000 PSC Scanner will not work with some Thin Clients

The issue is the USB port.  The scanner will work on USB ports lower than 2.0 but if the unit has a 2.0 USB port a USB hub is needed for the scanner to work.

We have a monitor that has native resolution of 1920x1200 - the XP thin client only seems to allow for a maximum of 1024x768.

The on-board video chip on the unit will not handle wide screen. However, there are a couple of options. You can purchase a PCI video card that handles wide screen and install that in the thin client (BOSaNOVA sells PCI video cards here that can do wide screen). The new 1300 units have the ability to do wide screen.

How do I determine what BIOS my thin client has installed?

You can find it at the front screen when the unit starts up - also you can have the BIOS set to halt with no keyboard and then pull the keyboard out when it boots to read the BIOS version.
