1. When I create ICONs on the desktop and then reboot, they are all gone and I have to recreate them again and again.

When I create ICONs on the desktop and then reboot, they are all gone and I have to recreate them again and again.

The time and date are not part of registry settings, on 8375 we do not have a CMOS battery to keep the RTC running. Power cycles resets the Clock on the system and cleans the desktop. On 8366 these features are supported, we can keep the time and the shortcuts.

I create 5250 sessions and then I reboot and they are gone.

After creating the sessions go into Start/Settings/Control Panel and select Registry Save/Settings.  Check the box to save current settings and then select OK.  Settings will be saved.

How can I restore the image?

MAKE SURE TO HAVE THIS PLUGGED INTO A POWER SUPPLY BEFORE STARTING TO UPDATE THE UNIT. DO NOT DO THIS ON BATTERY POWER ALONE.

To Re-Image a Tablet:

Insert the Compact Flash card into the slot

Go to Start >>> Settings >>> Control Panel.

From there you would go into "Update"

Then click on the "Local" Tab

From there click on the "Browse" button 

Once here click on "Storage card". There will only be one file listed here click on it then click "OK"

Click "OK" on the prompts that come up. 

The unit will now update and reboot. Once it comes back up to a regular desk top then it is ready. This update process usually takes about 10 minutes.

How can I enable auto-launch on the CE.NET Tablet?

To enable the Auto-Launch do the following: 

1. Create your Terminal Session.
2. Press F2 to enter Terminal proprieties
3. Select User Accounts
4. Default user is “Admin”
5. Check the box “Enter an account name and password to use this device” & scroll down the Administrator.
6. Input the password for the “Admin” account (Optional).
7. Double tap on the ADMIN group.
8. Check the Box for “Auto-logon.
9. On the Connection name: Select the Terminal session  and click on “Startup…” button
10. Click OK to confirm the changes.
11. Reboot.

 To protect the admin Privileges you may add a password to enter Terminal Properties.
